My Story

I have always loved to dream. Daydream, that is. I have been referred to as an idealist, non-confrontational, peacemaker and a feeder. 🙂 I am sure at one time or another I was the exact opposite of all of those things! What I strive to be is not always what I see at the end of the day when I am looking down into my evening cup of coffee. But I strive.

One of my dreams is to one day open a corner cafe that has brick walls, a stone fireplace, dim lighting, music, wood floors, fresh roasted coffee and some mean desserts! But for now..I have a virtual cafe. Welcome……

I grew up in Wisconsin, have lived in about 4 other states, and most recently our family moved back to my husband’s hometown of Cedar Rapids, Iowa! We are loving being back here, but I will have to say that I get asked about my southern accent a few times each week. Guessing that would be refelctive of our past 5 years in Alabama. So, I am a chamelion too. 🙂

For the past 3 years,  I have been a full-time stay at home mom! I have 3 beautiful toddler girls, Dakota, Addison and Charlie Grace. Yes, I am tired alot, but loving every minute!

Everett and I will be celebrating 22 years of marriage this September! Time really does fly. We all experience different things in life, so I will be posting about the hills, valleys, bridges, trainwrecks and mountaintops of my life. 🙂 I love the man that God chose for me…..

I love the simple things in life. God, family, friends, laughter, music, writing, and coffee. 🙂

Thanks for taking the time to read my ponderings. I hope that you will be encouraged, that your life load will feel a little lighter, that you will be inspired to make a change in your piece of the world to make it a better place.

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11

Rhonda, I have read every one of your articles and they are beautiful. You really should write a book, you have such a wonderful way with words. The book would touch the lives of so many people. I thank the Lord for you and that you use the talents that He gave you for his glory. You truly are a beautiful person not only on the outside but on the inside. I love you so very much. Love, Mom
